Fish Lab All 10 Achievements Guide
Spoiler-light paths for every Steam achievement — no fake redeem codes.
Fish Lab ships ten Steam Achievements and, at launch, no traditional redeemable promo codes. Players still search “codes,” so this deep guide lives under the codes section — but everything here is about earning the real Steam rewards, not inventing FISHLAB2026 strings. For the hub overview and fake-code warnings, stay on Achievements & Rewards. For structured play, keep the Walkthrough and Tips and Tricks nearby.
Spoiler policy
We list official achievement names and give direction-of-play tips without publishing exact numeric thresholds, hidden trigger IDs, or step-by-step spoilers that delete discovery. If Steam’s description is already explicit on your client, trust Steam; if a name is poetic, treat our notes as compass headings.
The complete list (all 10)
| Achievement | Fantasy it celebrates | Spoiler-light approach |
|---|---|---|
| First Dive | Taking the plunge into the lab loop | Finish early collect → process → upgrade lessons |
| Drone Fleet | Committing to drone / helper tools | Unlock tools and actually power them |
| Leviathan | Oversized fish fantasy landmark | Push swarm scale and landmark encounters |
| Specimen | Specimen-focused lab progress | Engage specimen / tank-adjacent systems without ignoring the main swarm |
| Published | Research publication milestone | Stay with research / grant identity long enough to “publish” |
| Deeper Still | Pushing deeper into progression | Keep climbing past the comfortable mid layer |
| we are just getting started | Mid-mastery momentum (stylized Steam spelling) | Do not stop at the first plateau — systems mastery counts |
| Tenured | Long-haul lab career energy | Put in sustained lab time / career-shaped progress |
| Into the Abyss | Late depth challenge | Commit to late depth rather than soft quitting |
| Surfaced | Coming back up — finale-flavored capstone | See the arc through; finale energy, not a fake code |
Progression track versus completionist track
Progression players should ignore achievement anxiety for the first session. Play Getting Started, learn hover-on-beat collection, stabilize processing, and buy early tech. Many early names (First Dive, pieces of tool/depth fantasy) arrive while you are simply learning.
Completionists should finish the short arc, then use Sandbox and Endless from Game Modes to mop stragglers. Endless is especially good when a depth- or density-flavored achievement needs more runway than the campaign-shaped path offers.
Achievement-by-achievement guidance
First Dive
Your onboarding badge. Focus on doing the real loop — collect on the beat, process, buy something — rather than hunting menus for a redeem box that does not exist. If the lab UI confuses you, triage with Tips and Tricks before resetting.
Drone Fleet
Tool commitment, not tooltip tourism. Unlock helpers/drones, then allocate power so they matter. Spreading power across every toy can make the fleet feel imaginary. Read Collection Tools and Power Allocation, and peek at the Tools Tier List.
Leviathan
Lean into oversized fish fantasy and swarm scale. Improve collection reliability and density comfort via How to Collect Fish. If FPS collapses before the fantasy arrives, fix hardware expectations with Performance Tips.
Specimen
Specimen progress is easy to overthink because tanks confuse people. Engage the specimen systems the game presents, but do not abandon on-beat swarm income. Tanks support the fantasy; they rarely replace the main pipe.
Published
Think “research identity.” Grants and tech-tree investment are the spiritual home of publication fantasy — Grants and Tech Tree explains the big equipment spikes that make the lab feel like a real institute.
Deeper Still
A reminder to push past comfort. When upgrades look opaque, buy by bottleneck using Upgrades Priority instead of stalling in the mid-game mall.
we are just getting started
Yes, the Steam title is stylized in lowercase energy. Mechanically, it reads as mid-mastery: you understand the loop well enough that the lab is accelerating. Keep grants, tools, and processing honest rather than declaring the game “done” at the first big spike.
Tenured
Career-shaped play. Long sessions, returning after breaks with Steam Cloud intact, and treating the lab like a post you keep — not a five-minute toy you abandon. Endless/Sandbox help tenure without forcing a single sitting.
Into the Abyss
Late depth. Expect denser swarms, heavier GPU load, and less hand-holding. Pair courage with performance triage so hitching does not masquerade as failure.
Surfaced
Capstone vibes — coming back up after the dive. Play toward a complete arc rather than hunting a mythical code chest. If only Surfaced remains, finish systems you deferred (grants, modes, depth) instead of installing random “achievement unlocker” junk.
Tracking workflow
- Steam → Fish Lab → Achievements
- Compare locked icons to the table above
- Pick one target that matches your current systems (tools → Drone Fleet, depth → Abyss, etc.)
- Use Sandbox/Endless for mop-up
- Recheck after patches on Updates in case of achievement fixes
No fake promo codes
| Claim you might see | Reality at launch |
|---|---|
| Weekly Roblox-style codes | Not this game |
| In-client redeem field for free cash | None known |
| YouTube description code dumps | Ignore unverified lists |
| Ten Steam achievements | Real — chase these |
If stonecodes ever shares a limited community gift, it will be announced on Steam News or Discord, then documented on the codes hub after verification — not invented here.
